A cosy, quiet town with white houses, a medieval castle and Tamarit Castle standing right above the sea.

One of the cosiest towns on the coast. Unlike lively Salou and La Pineda, it has a calm atmosphere: narrow streets, white houses, small squares and restaurants with sea views.
It’s a lovely place to:
- stroll around the historic centre;
- relax on a calm sandy beach;
- have dinner at one of the seaside restaurants;
- climb up to the medieval Castell d’Altafulla.
Nearby stands one of the most beautiful castles on the coast — Tamarit Castle (Castell de Tamarit) (Google Maps), right above the sea. It’s one of the most photographed spots on the Costa Daurada.
